Hey guys, I’ve been trying to build muscle and bulk without gaining too much fat. I am aware that fat gain is really inevitable while bulking but am simply trying to stay as lean as possible. I am a male. 5’8”. I weighed 134 pounds when I started this new regime. This morning I weighed 139 pounds. I am tracking my weight using a rolling average.

So this past week it is apparent I have been steadily gaining weight. Approximately half a pound according to the average. I’m wondering if I should be gaining faster, and if I should up my calories.
I am consuming 2800 calories a day. Macros are 135g protein, 100g fat, and after meeting those goals I put priority on carbs, but sometimes fill up more of the other two as well. I usually end up consuming 270-280 grams carbs.
I was considering bumping up to 3000 to see if I can start gaining closer to a pound a week.
Thoughts are much appreciated!
