Carb cravings, new to dieting

Hi everyone, i am new here.
I am overweight and have been trying to control my diet time and again. This time, I decided to join a forum to keep me motivated.

I am an addict to carbs, especially wheat.

Two weeks ago, i started a new regime where i have cut a lot of carbs out of my diet.

My main source of carbs right now are:
1 banana (in protein shake) - breakfast, after workout
1/2 cup of cooked brown rice- lunch
2-3 slice of Multigrain bread - evening
2 (dry) tbsp of roasted rolled oats- dinner

Also, i have cheat's day on Saturday when i feast on higher carbs (500 ml beer with pizza/curry and naan/stir fried Noodles and a tiny serving of ice cream).

Its been 2 weeks since i started this diet and the cravings haven't subsided.

Earlier, i used to consume a lot of refined flour products and potatoes.

I am not following any specific diet, just trying to reduce fat and then transition into bodybuilding (after achieving desired weight).

Will the cravings eventually subside or do i have to cut my carb intake further and not have a cheats day?

Thanks a lot, in advance.

P.S. I am 20 years old and not 48 as shown. I can't seem to edit it on the mobile site.
