Good day everybody,
I just wanted a little guidance on my routine here. I've been trying to lose fat. I feel like my caloric intake is far too low, however, I feel fine with this amount of food per day. What are some decent foods I can add to my normal routine to increase caloric intake? I'm 5'10", ~247 lbs. this week, down from 254 lbs. I'm mainly worried about screwing up my metabolism for when I actually drop weight. My only cheat meal so far has been on Easter, I had a couple beers / vodka drinks with the family. But other than that I don't drink any other days.
Basically what I do is get a copious amount of green veggies every 2 days or so and roast them in the oven. On that I will cook either ground turkey, chicken breast, or sirloin steak to pack for my dinners at work. I've been able to work out fasted and come home to start eating around 2pm. I try to finish eating at 8pm. The amount of water I drink is really filling me up nicely and I feel fine. Some days I add sweet potatoes to my breakfast.
Edit: I think it's important to add that I use a food scale at home and adjust the servings / units accordingly using MyFitnessPal.
