Keeping calories the same: what happens long term?

I’ve just started a process of recomping my body; I had many years weightlifting experience, but took many years off due to poor health. But now all is ok!

Here’s my question:

If you set a steady calorie intake, and don’t deviate from it, will the end result simply be that you are as muscular and lean as that calorie amount allows?

I don’t like to eat very much. Yeah, crazy I know.

:)

I’ve been eating 2300 calories per day, composed of 30% fat, 20% carbs, and 50% protein. I feel FANTASTIC, and have gone from 35% body fat at 248lbs to 25% body fat at 232lbs and I’m 5’11.

My goal is to simply maintain my exact calories/diet and see if I can end up being as lean/muscular as possible given my calorie intake.

Anybody done anything like this— calories the same long term— and end up where you wanted to be aesthetically?

Thanks for reading guys.
