hi all!
i recently started gym and cutting with a calorie deficit of about 500. I have been using weights for about 3-4 weeks now with creatine and definatly seeing strength gains along with some definition in upper body. I have slimmed down but obviously still showing fat especially around my mid section. I have a certain image in my mind (goal) of how I want to look next July when I go on holiday.
I have been thinking about switching to a bulk through christmas and negin the cutting phase again from maybe feb/march 2019 through to july. Is this a good idea or should I continue to cut through christmas? Only thing is, I feel like I am struggling to eat 1600 calories a day, some days I dont even get that, although if i was bulking i know i would have to eat a lot more! right now, the weight loss has kind of stopped and the scale going back up slightly again, someone told me this is due to adding muscle and losing fat so the weight scales won't move too much right now?
I spoke to a friend who said even on a cut, 1600 a day is too low for me but thats what my fitness pal worked out for me. im 83.4kg, 5,7 and 32 years old. he says i should be having 2100-2300 a day cutting and arund 2,400 bulking. whats your advice ??? many thanks all!!!
