Best/nutritious starches for carb cycling?

I'm doing the carb-cycling approach, so I'm looking for ideas on what would be good to buy/eat for the days when I need to eat a surplus of carbs. One example I can think of is Costco sells these precooked brown rice dishes that can be stored indefinitely that I could just throw in the microwave and eat with no fuss or cleanup. Brown rice isn't bad for you, but I'm wondering if there are better or more nutritious ideas? Another one I can think of are potatoes or sweet potatoes (they're relatively uniform in size and keep for months in the fridge).
