LONG STORY SHORT. I took a break from the gym because I was experiencing no energy, motivation, fatigued, depression so i decided to take a couple of days off. went back and felt the same or even worst. I do not know if im over trained or under recovered.
hello guys.
so let me start saying that I had to take around 16 days completely off the gym (did regular walks tho and maybe some incline walking on the treadmill). before this I was typically doing full body training 3 days per week because I could not hit more than that or ill be severily fatigued, moody, brain fog, couldn't see very well. but even with training 3 days a week and 1 cardio day (incline walking) i was still experiencing this so i decided to take time off.
during this time off i lost weight, got weaker and felt even more depressed. my sleep declined too. I was going to give it like 1-2 months off the gym to see if i feel better, but tbh i couldn't handle the depression of not training so i hit the gym again. this time i said "ill yolo with low frequency and volume to see if i recover better"
I followed a typical PUSH PULL LEGS BUT 3 days a week, hitting muscle once weekly, low volume, low frequency just to see if i feel better. i was feeling ALMOST the same as before, but then it hit me, 3 weeks in and i felt the same. I said let me switch to 5/3/1 beginners and see what happens. yeah, no. that first week of 5/3/1 was the first week i experienced in my life. I was also gaining weight.
after training i went to my job and stood looking somewhere and people asked if i was okey. i said" well my body is here, but my mind is not" i was going to throw up, blurry vision, brain fog, couldn't focus.
ANDDDD i decided to go back to PUSH PULL LEGS this week with even lower weights but same volume. i felt meh yesterday but today i feel meh again. i woke up with "some" energy, went to do incline walking in the treadmill for 55 minutes because i had nothing else to do. and now i don't have energy in the tank.
