How to use nuts in a diet

New to the forum so sorry for any mess ups.

I am starting to try and take my fitness seriously and I'm trying to make a rough calorie breakdown for my daily intake.

I've heard nuts are a good healthy snack and I tend to snack a lot on bread so I want to supplement it. Do you guys recommend nuts and if so what types of nuts do you recommend?
Read the general thread on weight loss and nutrition but couldn't find anything on this.
