I've seen different ration on here but it is still somewhat confusing to me. I guess I look at it as.. what is the quickest way to get to my goal? I believe when cutting I have consistently lost 12 lbs a month with about 10.5 lbs fat, 1.5 lean muscle mass loss. I have done this for four months and it is seems pretty steady. I plan to cut for one month more but if I feel it is deviating from that by losing more lean muscle mass, I will go to my bulking phase quicker.
Now the question is, would it be better to raise my calories up to a certain level where I gain a little more fat which then will allow me to make sure I am not risking muscle gains by trying to be too precise? I have read a 1lb of muscle gain to 1 lb of fat gain is a good goal. Does that seem correct? If for instance it was 1.5 lbs of muscle gain to 3 lbs of fat gain, over ll that would be a faster way to someones overall goal I think because cutting at the rate I can seems to be so much faster than the 1-2 lbs of muscle I'm supposed to gain if I do things right.. that is so slow risking muscle gain to prevent fat gain doesn't seem prudent...
Thanks for your help.
