Oils as extra calorie intake necessary during bulking phase

It's often advised to increase by 20% or so the amount of calorie during bulking phase compared to maintenance. In my case maintenance is 2100 calories so I need about 400 extra per day. I have a small appetite though so bigger meals or more meals is a problem for me. But I do like oils (coconut oil in my oatmeal, olive oil in my salads).

I was wondering: can I simply drink these 400 extra calories as oil?

I guess the standard answer is NO because it would contradict the standard ratio of [25%-35% Protein - 40%-60% Carbs - 15%-25% Fat] (or whatever). But proportions of carbs vs. fat required for muscle gain aren't written in stone and it seems to me that more and more people are questioning them.

Would switching from, say, [30% protein - 50% carbs - 20% fat] to [30% protein - 35% carbs - 35% fat] compromise muscle mass gain progression? If so, is there evidence for it?
