1) If u don't wanna read all the thing, skip to "2", but it might be useful to know part 1 to give answer.
I'll explain a bit my situation before going to the point.
21 yo, i've been 8 months without going to the gym. Pretty much before those 8 months i trained for like a year and thats it.
Back when i started i was a complete noob that had done 0 sport ever and wasn't even able to lift 3kg biceps. I was a skinny fat sack with 0 muscle, was back then at 21% body fat iirc.
After 1 year, before i quit, i was able to lift 8kg biceps, 30kg bench press, 6kg shoulders... I know it sounds like a big trash, but i really have to point, when i started i could lift ZERO. In that year i used to eat pretty much what i eat every day (i never did diet and kinda abused a bit of fast-food and bad habits). To sum up, i gained some muscle and lost some fat (the normal thing when a complete beginneer starts). I end up quitting because at some point i couldn't increase weight anymore, i hitted my max natural size.
After 8 months , now, i wanna come back and take it serious this time (With a diet and good habits). I pretty much think i was stuck at that point because i never did a diet with proper macros so i didn't gain muscle anymore and couldn't progress.

2)
The thing is, right now, im pretty much back where i started. Im skinny fat , probably at 21% again (can't confirm), i still conserve some mass in the biceps/triceps and chest, but not much that i gained). So, i don't really know what to do now.
If i say, i go lean bulk. I'd get even more fat, but i would gain muscle and strength.
If i say, i go fat loss. Cmon srsly, at this point i can't lift more than 4kg biceps, if i dont go for strength, wtf am i doing.
Need advice of someone who was in the same spot i am. I've tried to search on the internet a case similar to mine, but every website says a different thing. Im pretty much a complete begineer with some muscle memory and thats it.
pd: btw im 144lb 172cm
