High-Water Content Foods & Intestinal Bloat - Cooked Grains, Fruits, etc...

Sup ya'll,

Question for ya: given the large intestine is where in the digestive process water is extracted from ingested foods, I'm wondering if consuming significant amounts of foods such as oats/porridge, lentils that are not heavily cooked down, or even boiled potatoes, could contribute to lower-GI bloating or even lack of motility outside of the effect of other things like fiber simply due to water in the foods. I suppose the same question could be asked about strawberries, melons, etc...

I have always eaten my fair share of oats and other things which involve the soaking/absorption of water such as lentils, potatoes, and even sometimes rice wherein I make 'rice porridge', but recently since increasing my carbohydrate consumption the lower-GI bloat has been pretty harsh sometimes compared to what I was used to... i suppose i'm just wording if it's the carbs themselves or the water content of the specific food, perhaps also exacerbated by fiber in some cases.
