Hey guys I am finally taking the plunge into the fitness world and im loving it so far. I have everything kind of planned out but the variation in the online information causes me much confusion. Here is my basic info and goals before diacussing nutrition.
Im 5'11 and 180 lbs
25% body fat so im kind of "skinny fat"
My plan is to workout 3 times a week in my barn doing body weight stuff that is all set up. Once i get thr basics doen ans can do simpler things like a 60 second plank ill go get a power rack but for now the gymnastic rings will suffice.
My goal is mostly strength and being more fit as i have a new found love for hiking and calisthenics so im wanting strength and maybe some mass, but muscle ups and handstands are the end goal.
Sorry for the light novel but i know this info is important for calculations.
My main point is im stuck on the nutrition goals. Right now my app is set to 2000 kcal for a "cut" with 40%carb and 30% fat and protein. I take 5g creatine/ some fish oil and i have protein powder to assist the goals for protein.
Does all this work for a beginner or am I lost somewhere here because I feel like the protien might be off. I also read that beginners should just do maintainence or ignore nutrition for the first 2 months because "noob gains". Appreciate any constructive input please.
Side note* my workout program is the recomended routine, cutting out the skill progression until I am a bit stronger because i end up exhausted after trying to hold 2 minutes on the rings .
