Hey all - looking for some community advice concerning portions and diet.
I am a 40 y/o male, working out 3 times a week, hour each time, full body workouts with a personal trainer { weight training, metabolic conditioning, etc }. I work a desk job the other days, so not terribly active unless I'm at the gym. I am 6'3, 200 pounds.
I understand that for maximum muscle recovery and growth, the standard 'tried and true' science is eating apprx. 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight.
My question is, the volume of food I have to eat just seems excessive some days. I often have to force feed when I'm not hungry and that's pretty miserable. Is this normal? I don't like eating 6 times a day so I'm usually chomping down 7-8 ounces of chicken per meal. That's a lot when you're not hungry!
Any thoughts? Thanks !
