I would like to try and do some kind of a "detox" this weekend, any advice?

I've done fasting before (the longest I could ever go was 3 days, which I still drank some kind of chicken broth one day, and also took some kind of "hydroxycut" pills), and if that's the best route, then that's what I'll do. My thing is this; I feel like I have a literal, physical addition to soda (or something *in* soda). I want to try and get whatever stuff *might* be in there, *out* of my body, so I can start fresh on a diet.

Ideally, I want to start this "detox" Friday and go through the weekend. I'm personally leaning towards some variation of Keto (my doctor suggested something similar, though not expressly recommending I go into ketosis; just lowering my carb intake and eating more protein and fiber, while still tracking calories). But I think overcoming my addiction to soda and other caffeine products is probably for the best, as I'm sick of feeling like my mood is so dependent on "eating the wrong things". (seriously; I get super angry with people whenever I try to cut soda out of my diet)

Do you guys have any suggestions? Should I just fast? If so, should I be taking any sorts of vitamins during that process? Or should I just go hardcore "only water and greens" for the weekend? Is putting a chicken bouillon cube in boiling water a decent option for "dealing with hunger pangs"? Or just straight up ONLY water?
