Can I bulk for a certain muscle group then cut for the rest of the day?

All of my muscles are relatively strong, however, my chest and abs are a definite weak point. I was wondering if it would be possible to eat on a surplus on chest day and the subsequent day in order to maximize chest gains, and then cut during the rest of the days while continuing my full body workout routine.
