Recently I've been eating rice pudding and meringues, in moderation of course.
But it got me wondering why you can't buy this kind of stuff made with sweetener rather than sugar.
You often get low fat or reduced fat desserts, but not desserts made with sweetener instead of sugar.
Is it because there's no demand for it, because it would be more expensive, or because the consistency would be different?
I realise you could make these things yourself, but when you're busy that's a lot of trouble compared with buying off the shelf.
