Hey all.
Worked out lots in the past, but my first time actually consciously cutting and counting calories.
32 years old, 6'2, 244lbs about 20% body fat... (239 after four days cutting)
Calculated my cutting calories at 2700-2800 calories for a 500 cal deficit per day.
Here is the thing...I am not a small eater. My whole life, if there was food in front of me, it was eaten.. sixty pieces of sushi? No problem twice in a weekend. Used to easily do 4000 cal a day or more, and while I bulked for a few months recently, 4000 daily was not an issue. Everything felt great. I didn't bother to count calories because I was gaining a bit of weight per month, strength gains were increasing, and that seemed fine. I went from 240lb to 244, with decent strength gains. I recently figured I should get closer to 10 percent fat perhaps for summer and then bulk again, so here I am. Generally my weight does not fluctuate. I can eat anything, always 240 lbs.
Two questions:
Does losing five lbs in four days seem normal given my history? I assume this is water weight from less glucose perhaps?
Also, does the constant hunger get better???? Going from eating everything to 2700 calories is going ok, but is sure taking some getting used to.
Diet is very clean. No processed foods, or simple sugar, only eating whole foods, lots of protein and complex carbs.
