Fast Food / Nutrition Question

Serious question for you bros that play no games...

Okay I'm 26, 5'10 and weighed in at 259.8 pounds this morning, 3 weeks ago I weighed in at 276.8 I probably have between 30-35% body fat (it's all in my face/gut). I've been religiously doing weights 5 days a week again (Monday - Shoulders, Tuesday - Back, Wednesday - Chest/Triceps/Abs, Thursday - Biceps, Friday - Leg Day) my neighborhood has a trail that goes for miles so I get in 3 miles 5 days a week after work/before night school. On the weekends I've been doing 10 miles.

I've stopped drinking alcohol, eating fast food daily, stopped getting gas station snacks like chips, candy bars, ice cream etc, stopped drinking soda and avoid processed foods as much as I can and have incorporated drinking a gallon of water a day.

Several years ago I went from 280 to 192 in less than 3 months so I know I can do this again as long as I stay focused and my girlfriend doesn't sabotage me (not trying to use her as an excuse, we've been going to the gym together and she's eating a lot cleaner now that she knows I'm serious).

Here's my question to you ladies and gentlemen who have been going hard for years, why do you bash/avoid fast food so much? Is it simply because of the trans fats, high sodium, potential cancer causing agents etc? Or do you simply view it as, taking a toll on body fat percentage?

For example, I know for a fact I could still lose weight almost DAILY eating Super Stars and Chipotle bowls fully loaded with cheese, sour cream, and guac. However I've been making myself overnight oats with sliced almonds, blueberries, and strawberries for breakfast, homemade salad with grilled chicken for lunch, and more grilled chicken/steak mixed with veggies for dinner incorporated with some whey protein shakes throughout the day because I know it's healthier then fast food.

I'm just curious as to why you avoid certain foods.

Thanks everyone.
