Tactics for cutting on Fierce 5...

So I've been doing Fierce 5, and got to the point where I gained waaaay to much fakkin' fat.

I've heard the most important thing to do when cutting is to keep the intensity (weight on the bar) up for as long as possible when cutting, but in my experience on my first cut when I lost 48 lbs this was EXTREMELY difficult.

If I'm squatting for 3 sets of 5, as the program calls for, and I can only get to 3, is it a good strategy to maybe do 5x3, that way the volume remains the same, and I just have more rest sessions...?
