Anyone use Layne Norton’s cutting macro calculations?

Normally I carb cycle year round and stay lean, want to try a different approach.

The things I’m concerned about is my calories and carbs based on TDEE and body type (meso) are a little higher than what I would do.

Pre workout meal 35% of daily carbs is also about double the amount of carbs I’d have in one meal (granted less carbs rest of day)

I’m terrified of trying this out and ending up gaining weight. Anyone have experience?
