coffee as pre workout

I wake up at 4 am to basically put my contacts in, brush my teeth, grab my gear, throw down some pre workout and be in the gym at 4:30. I have been wanting to get away from the normal pre workout and go to something like black coffee but every time I drink coffee, withing 10-15 minutes I have to hit the bathroom. I don't really want to get up any earlier since 4 am is already early as heck. I have tried just popping a caffeine tab but there seems to be zero effect. Thoughts?
