Body Recomp Macros

Just a quick question, I'm new to the fitness scene. I've never lifted weights before, and I'm starting a body recomp. My question is, I know doing a recomp requires strict calorie manipulation, so how often should I recalculate my macros and adjust my diet? I'm assuming doing it based on body fat percentage would be the most accurate, since my weight won't necessarily reflect my body composition change. Thanks in advance for the help!
