Trying something different, Lets Fix a recipe

Okay I really in my hay day loved sausage Biscuits and Gravy. I would really love to make it again and have the health effects.

This is great to eat hot or cold... perhaps You Guys can help me fix my recipe to make this better?

Here it is

The Sausage Gravy.

1 Pound Ground Pork Sausage
2 Tablespoons Butter
1/3 Cup Flour
3 Cups Milk
1/4 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/4 Teaspoon Seasoned Salt
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
2 Teaspoons Black Pepper

Brown the sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat until no longer pink.
Add the butter to the pan and stir it around until melted.
Sprinkle the flour over the sausage and stir for 2 minutes.
Pour the milk into the sausage and flour mixture slowly, whisking constantly until smooth.
Whisk in the seasonings. Taste the gravy and adjust seasoning if necessary.

The biscuits.... maybe theres hope here..

2 Cups All Purpose Flour
1 tablespoon of white sugar
2 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter diced
1 1/4 cup milk

Preheat an oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a bowl. Cut in the cold butter with a knife or pastry blender until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add milk a little at a time, stirring lightly between additions.
Drop the batter by spoonfuls onto a cookie sheet, and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the tops are golden.
