In the last few months i lost around 100 pounds...2 weeks ago i hit my goal. Im proud of myself and i would like to build some muscle. To build muscle you gotta be on a caloric surplus. Im a 23 year old male and im 5 feet 9 inch with 154 lbs. Thing is the last few months i lived on around 1500 calories which is under my maintnance calorie by maybe 500 calories.
What im thinking about now is if i should eat a little more over 1500 for the beginning and go up from there or should i straight up jump to a surplus from my maintance calories and eat around 2100 calories to build muscle. I really wanna do a clean bulk because i know how hard burning fat can be so im happy for every answer.
