Hello, I wanted to know how you can go through the process of losing body fat % without losing too much muscle mass. I have read a lot on it since I had already gone through my short life believing something like this to be impossible, but plenty of posts and articles say it is possible to actually get stronger and lose fat at the same time with proper diet at the cost of slower muscle gains. When I started exercising I went from 230lb 30% BF to 250lb 30%BF in a month which I can only assume was mostly water weight since I used creatine supplements and a pre-workout to help. Now that Im at 250 I really dont want to gain more weight even if it would be just more muscle and water and I really want to cut back on the bodyfat without losing what I spent that time to get. I know that to cut BF you need a deficit and to not lose muscle you need to keep exercising hard and consume a large percent of protein. What I do want to know is how much of a deficit you can take that wont lead to overpowering muscle loss. At the moment I want to do a 1000 calorie deficit if at all possible while achieving my goal. I have read about BCAA's but I dont know how much I actually believe in those or if I should even take those since it seems like a really "advanced" level supplement.
