Sup guys, I am trying to eat 3000 calories and hitting all my macros to gain some weight/muscle. I am 5' 10" 175 lbs. Here is my current diet i just set up because i just started it yesterday, maybe I am not used to eating this much or whatever but what have you guys done to reach your daily calorie intake?
breakfast: 1 cup egg whites
2 slices whole wheat toast with 1 tsbp nutella on each
1 packet of quaker cranberry almond oatmeal
1 container (150g) greek yogurt with fresh strawberries i put in it, although i was so full i couldn't eat this yogurt until an hour after breakfast
snack: 1/4 trail mix
1 scoop syntha 6 protein shake
lunch: 2 pb and j sandwiches on whole wheat bread
banana
snack: another 1/4 cup trail mix
another scoop of syntha 6
dinner: 8oz chicken or 1 fillet of cod
brown rice or roasted potatoes (frozen)
green beans or broc****
snack before bed: 1/2 cup cottage cheese
i feel like this is quite a lot of food and when i did the math when i was right under 3k calories like 2800/2900 but meeting all my macros except carbs which is hard to hit for some reason (80g fat, 160-170g protein,350-360g carbs) . Am i trying to each too much food at each major meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner)? what do you guys usually eat for your major meals? or should i just stop being b**** and shove it down my throat lol. I am still new to this and I'm sure there is flaws in my calculations and meal plan so any help would be appreciated.
