working out before work

I've been playing around with what works for me time wise. I've been trying to hit the gym after work usually around 5/6. This is contrast to prior where I could go in at 10 am. I start work generally around 8/9 am. I've been finding that I generally am tired and sleepy on the drive home to get to the gym. Not everyday just a few, which causes missed workouts. Currently cutting so I don't want to miss workouts.

thinking about hitting the gym before work, if I get up at 5 maybe hitting the gym at 6 am. For those who do, how do set it up? Do you just whey shake before hand and then have breakfast (meal) after the gym? Do you go in fasted?

currently running push pull leg split.

Daily Macro goal 200g Protein 200g Carbs 60-70g fats

195lbs 20% bodyfat at 6'0 35 years old.
