Drinking/ moderation?

The last couple of years I have had a pretty healthy routine of working out. Unfortunately I have been drinking a bit too much but that made me ask the question what is too much? I normally drink 100 proof rum and one reason is to drink less fillers/ sugar and I always drink diet drinks as well. So, what is too much when it comes to hard liquor? I drink now one day a week and I normally drink about 4.5-6 oz of 100 proof. What are your thoughts? I know alcohol can significantly hurt your workout routine obviously but is drinking like this consistently going to hurt me? I also drink lots of water before and after along with some protein before bed. Thanks!
