I'm thinking about quitting the gym
I've been working out for a while now and also dealing with some mental issues.
I'm starting to realize that i think going to the gym is actually making my mental issues worse.
The day after the gym i always have a persistent headache and feel foggy.
I also lack energy and just feel genuinely mentally slow and tired (despite sleeping fine).
Has this happened to anyone else before? Maybe i'm doing too much at the gym?
This is what my routine looks like;
Saturday - cardio (20-30 mins of light cardio on exercise bike)
Sunday - as above
Monday - upper body
Tuesday - cardio
Wednesday - lower body
Thursday - cardio
Friday - upper body
alternate upper/lower each week.
I usually spent 1 hr and 30 minutes at the gym.
Why do i feel so mentally exhausted/ headache / tired after gym/day after gym?
