How to eat for mental energy?

Hi -

I'm an entrepreneur. I love to always feel my best and be as alert and focused as possible for as long as possible. What foods should I focus on to eat a diet which supports mental and physical energy? I'm currently a high-protein eater. I (for the most part) avoid salt, fat, and processed sugar. But when you get down to it, eating is quite a complex science.

What would you suggest I focus on to get as much energy as possible in as healthy of a way as possible? Thanks,
