Hey folks, I am new to the forums. I usually come to this site for any information regarding weightlifting. I am not new to lifting weights, although it probably looks like it because I am an ectomorph and can't seem to gain weight anyways. I just got out the Army this past February and I have been slacking with staying in shape and hitting the gym. Just starting lifting again. I am 5'10" 165 lbs, so pretty skinny but not a complete toothpick, you can tell I have lifted before. I just need help with the dieting part which is the hardest I am sure for everyone. I went on some diet website, I forget the name and I inputted my body information to get a rough estimate for how many calories and how much fat, protein, carbs, etc that I will need to gain weight/muscle. Its looking like these are the numbers:
Calories: 3000-3100
Protein: 160-165g
Fat: 65g
Carbs: 369g
I was curious what would be a good diet to start with that isn't too difficult to follow and is somewhat cheap (I am in college, 8am-3pm everyday, gym right after class). I want to plan my meals hopefully about 6 per day. 1. Breakfast before school(7:30am) 2. break halfway through class (9:30am) 3. lunch (11:30am) 4. snack (1:30pm) 5. dinner (5-6pm) 6. snack (7-8pm). Would this be a good schedule to follow? I am also trying to see what kinds of food I should be eating to meet this 3000 calorie diet lol, seems like quite a lot. I know I could find most of this information somewhere on a different forum or a quick google search. But I'd like to get some responses specific to my body type, and from people that may have experience in my position before. **** is going to be tough to follow but I am willing to give it a whirl. Thanks in advanced guys.
