Studies to show overfeeding (positive energy balance) support help build muscle?

Hello, are there any studies that support overfeeding (eating more than maintenance calories) as the only way to build muscle mass?

I have found these two that don't cleary support this claim.

There are studies that support that you can build muscle and lose fat, if you are new to exercise, during calorie deficit or maintenance.
What if someone wants to build muscle or lose fat but wants to stay at his/her current weight.
