Hello! recently in my hockey games..i was out of energy not long after the start of the game, it never happened before . I work alot and i dont have alots of break so my diet takes a huge it so i guess its related to this.
To hockey players, or anyone who do intense sports for 1-2hours, how do you keep your energy level at full ?
Do you load in carbs couple days before to keep glycogen stores full? Do you eat normal diet but eat an extra oatmeal/banana before the game? Do you drink carbs during the game?
My performances are taking a hit and im not really satisfied with my game because of the lack of energy. I want to go get that puck in the corner but my body wont follow because im out of energy.
Help thanks!
