Underweight - Advice needed

Hello.

I am not sure what to do so thought I would visit this forum site and see if anyone had some suggestions for me.

I turned 18 last month on the 1st of June. I am a male and weight bang on 7 stones and I am 5f 7inch. My BMI is around 15.5 which is suggesting I am underweight according to the NHS website. I am feeling a little down as I feel skinny and even now when I look in the mirror, I can see that I am looking horrible cause of my weight. I am even told by others that I am really skinny and told I look really ugly due to it. I am not anorexic or anything but still real skinny too the point I can see my rib cage without my top on. I am really wanting to gain weight as due to my weight, I get picked on by people too and I really want to make a change. Now is the best time for me to focus on my weight too as I have broken up from college until September.

I have recently started going to a boxing club. I am finding it really fun as it is difficult and enjoyable. I go x4 days a week for just over 90 minutes per session and planning on using the rest of the days of the week to also go to the gym. I have used a couple calorie calculators online to see how much I just be consuming each day as I know that just going to the gym is not going to help me as really I have to be eating a lot. The calculators are saying I should be consuming around 2500 to 3000 calories per day. I was talking to my parents about this and they don't agree with this and my mom laughed at me a little saying that I didn't need that many and I need to go to the gym more. My dad agrees with her and says the same. As much as I love my parents, they both not in good shape physically so I am doubting their advice a little haha.

Anyways, I would say at the minute I am consuming around 1500 calories per day if not less as I have 4 meals, two of which will be snacks such as cereal and the other two which are my main meals. Also, not trying to make my parents sound evil or anything but if I eat more than that, I get told off by my mom and siblings as apparently "I eat all the food and that is all I do" although they are all pretty much overweight whereas I am underweight...

I would like to know how many calories would be recommended to be consumed. Also, what kind of meals would be good to eat? I have been told by class mates who are muscular and healthy that chicken is good, as well as stuff such as fish and etc. However, that isn't really an option for me due to reasons I cannot really go into. I am not even allowed to use the oven or stove as "I will burn down the house" smh...

I am sorry this is a long message. I just feel comfy typing as it kind of lets me express my emotions. I look forward to hearing replies soon with suggestions and advice on how to gain weight aswell as answers to some of my questions above. Once again, apologies for the long message.
