Hey everyone, first time posting and generally new to bodybuildiing. I've taken up an olympic weightlifting routine over the last 5-6 months and I love it! Now I just need some help understanding my basic macro needs.
I'm 32 y/o, I weigh 178 lb, my BMI is 26.4 and my BF is 20.6.
When I embarked on this journey 5-6 months ago my goal was to gain a bunch of weight. I had started at about 16% BF.
Now I've learned that I should aim to stay around 10-12% BF, so now I'm going to go into a calorie deficit.
Can someone help me understand what my calorie intake should be and what my macros should be?
I'm thinking I should eat about 2000 calories a day, and I've heard that I should be getting all the protein I need, and that most of my carbs should be eaten around my workouts. What should my macros be?
Any additional tips/advice very much appreciated!
