Lean Bulk or Recomp?

After a bulk for 6 months I decided to cut some of my excess fat. However I just came from vacation, tried to eat clean ended up eating over maintainance (see profile picture for results). As a begginer <1 year experience lifting I heard that it is possible for body recompesition, to build muscle and loose fat. I always wanted to have a six pack so found that I could cut during the summer but realised that my chest and shoulders did not pack on much size at all... Would it be better for me to eat a caloric defecit and hope for a recomp. or clean bulk to minimize fat gain and build my abs more to look better?
