I feel lost and helpless on how to approach a diet plan.

Hey guys, long time member (lurker before my join date). I am absolutely confused on how to approach a new diet to meet my certain needs

I haven't worked out for half a year pretty much and started eaching too much carbs (white rice specifically and Chinese food) and got fat.

I always worked with diets that helped me bulk and maintain muscle but I want to lose weight while getting lean from the gym at the same time. Keto never worked and I find it a scam for lazy people who knows nothing about nutrition.

I am 5'75 , 175lbs, Chinese with fast/high metabolism
I have a huge belly as well which was resulted from eating too much carbs (asian noodles and rice)

Basically my plan is to gym 5 days a week with cardio and abs work mixed in at the end of the session. Trying to lose my belly and overall fat %

I am taking dairy out of my diet so no more milk and whey protein from cows anymore.

I also heard white rice is bad in general yet I see people eating all the time after post workouts. Is this true? Does one cup of white rice do such harm ? I am confused on what other types of carbs to eat other than yam which I am getting sick of.

Also, what types of protein are people eating with their eggs every morning? I try to eat two boiled eggs and one toast but im not sure what protein that's not bacon and sausage?

I am struggling to find certain diet programs to reach my goal of losing 10lbs by September that is simply affordable and home cooked.
