Pfizer’s Paxlovid contains Nirmatrelvir, which inhibits a SARS-CoV-2 protein to stop the virus from replicating, and Ritonavir, which slows down Nirmatrelvir’s breakdown to help it remain in the body for a longer period at higher concentrations.
