Sugar snacks = Joint flare up + feeling sick

Hi guys I was just wondering how much sugars you guys eat in a day or a cheat day? Has anyone had a joint flare up after eating to much sugar? I rarely eat sugar and usually avoid it all together choosing rather oat meal or sweet potatoes. But a few days ago I was feeling somewhat depleted from working and decided I want to buy some sweets. So I went to the local store and bought a box of those fruit flavored snacks and it even said made with real fruit juice... 22 pouches of goodness! I thought sounds good for a cheat day. I also bought a thing of real blueberries to go along with these great snacks! Well after getting home I got to eating these things and by the time I watched a couple shows on the old tube I went through 20 pouches of this stuff. 10 grams of sugar in each pouch. So I'm thinking I ate 200 grams of sugar in a few hours time. Didn't feel sick at the time, but about 12 hours later started to feel sick with weird heart beat palpitations and also my knees flared up with inflammation. These things literally made me sick as hell. Its been a few days after I ate these and knees still hurt from this sugar flare up, and after looking at the ingredients these things are made up of corn syrup, sugar and corn starch with very little natural juice. So yeah I was tricked. I'm usually a hawk eye to ingredients but that day I was lazy at carefully looking it over. And also I missed the part where it says produced with genetic engineering in small letters.
