I am Asian living in NZ. Most (actually all) of the negative stigma towards soy I have read/heard come from US or UK.
What do people think about consuming soy or soy base foods regularly?
I personally don't eat much soy just because of personal preference, tofu maybe 1-2/month. I find it interesting the large variation towards the nutritional impacts of soy. Growing up in China, soy was labelled a health food. It was, and I believe it still is in the dietary guides to consume at least 2 servings of soy based foods per day. Here in NZ, people don't make a deal out of it at all. So it's very neutral, not a "bad" food people should stay away from or a "good" food that should be consumed daily either.
