So I'm 42 years old. 6'2" 247 lbs.
I started tracking my calories this week with myfitness pal. I picked 2800 calories as its about 500 below my maintenance based on the calculators that account for your physical activity and height/weight/age.
I don't seem to be losing any weight so obviously the calculator doesn't match up with my personal metabolism.
The question is. If I pick a new daily calorie target...lets say 2,400 a day....can I go so low that I mess up my metabolism and set myself up for failure?
