Weight gainer as a meal replacement?

Since moving out of my parents place, I've definitely lost some weight (7 or so pounds). Not getting that good home cooking anymore. As I try to figure things out, I was considering getting some Mutant Mass for easy meal replacements. As in, don't have a meal plan for dinner? Take a 1100 calorie shake and make it easy.

My question is, is that reasonable? This is coming from a fairly skinny 6 foot guy that could certainly use some weight gain. And yes, I am working out regularly.
