Study finds anesthesia drug lignocaine effective in treating breast cancer patients

The lignocaine treatment costs just Rs 100 per patient, who need just one injection, around the tumor just prior to surgery. The injection requires no additional expertise. The study was carried out in 1600 women undergoing breast cancer surgery.Lignocaine was known to have inhibitory effects on cancer cell division, movement and other anti-cancer properties.
