Hi all, this is my first post here and I'm wondering if someone could help me out.
I'm preparing a meal plan, and I've read that an average adult man should consume no more than 36 grams of sugar per day.
My question is, does this include even sugar that comprises carbohydrates? For example, when you're reading a nutrition label and it says something like:
Carbohydrates: 16.0g
Of which sugars: 4.1g
Does that 4.1g count towards my 36g daily limit? Or is that to be discounted?
I understand this is a stupid rookie question, I know next to nothing about nutrition, so figured I'd ask here. Any clarity or help appreciated.
