Low dietary fat ok as long as you have high bodyfat?

Wife trying to lose weight so I have her on a 1000 calorie deficit eating only 1300 a day. The problem is she dislikes most foods containing fat and protein so those macros are naturally pretty low in her diet since they go hand in hand. As a result, I have her taking a 38g protein shake everyday with skim milk. Her macros are as follows on a day to day basis: 60% carbs, 30% protein, 10% fat. I know that dietary fat is necessary unlike carbs so my question is, can she get away with a very low fat intake since she has quite a bit of bodyfat to burn (aprox. 35% bf)? The body must be smart enough to make use of it in case dietary fat is almost nonexistent.
