Hey all, I'm 33, 6'1", 215 pounds, male. You can see my pictures in my profile.
I by no means look bad right now. I have pretty decent muscle tone but I'd like to slim down a bit and take things to the next level. My goal is to drop some body fat and get visible abs while keeping the muscle tone I have. I've never been able to really see my abs before, so if I could manage that I'd be thrilled. I came up with a diet which is something I feel I can stick to. I used something similar to go from 235 to 215 last year, but I had to of course trim it down even more. It'll stay more or less the same calorie wise with me mixing up the meats, carbs and vegetables of course. Though I'll probably eat the same thing for lunch every day. Right now my tentative goal is to reach 200 pounds. I may need to go lower if I still can't see my abs at 200.
Please critique my diet, which I attached below. Is that enough protein? Should I be eating more fats? What about carbs?
I'm aiming for around 2300 calories a day to see if that gives me some solid progress. If there's any way I can improve it let me know. The one "bad" thing which I really don't want to go without is beer. So I've worked on 2 a day in my diet as you can see in the picture. If I absolutely have to drop that, I will. But I really love beer and it's the one vice I really don't want to give up completely. I'll do some extra cardio if needed.
Right now for exercise I lift for an hour 3-4 days a week, and I walk about 45 minutes to an hour, 5 days a week. I may add in some extra cardio on top of that if needed. Other than that I do work a sedentary job so not getting much of any other type of activity.
