If one is eating a diet high in nutrients aka unprocessed foods how does that compare to getting an abundance of protein macro for muscle preservation? Are there any studies that show that less than .8g per lb I think it is for protein is fine when the diet is supported with nutrients? Nutrients: For example: Phytonutrients, Amino acids, probiotics, etc... all these things seem MAY have a health boosting or performance benefit. Does that mean having these things may be protein sparing in absence of the required amount of dietary protein for muscle building?
