Is 2lbs a week too much for a beginner?

I have read some of the stickies and I know that a beginner should be running a 3x pw full body, and I know that it is recommended to eat 500 calories over maintenance. I am like a stick at my current weight of 150 and I don’t fill out clothes properly (s,m). My goal is to put on fat and muscle (hopefully gain around 50lbs in a year) so that I can look at least average in the shortest time possible. As of now I will eat 3500-4000 to get me started and taper down if need be. Is my plan awful?
