IIFYM really works for getting shredded and maintaining weight after cut?

I wanna try out IIFYM theres some foods i miss like captain crunch and i know that 80-90% is healthy foods no problem with that at all however there is a problem and that with changing your foods all the time the amount of sodium you take in from day to day will change thus water retention galore so would you always look puffy with water ?
